Capital Heights Brewery, Baton Rouge LA
As promised, I have sent you some jpegs of the "Capital Heights Brewery" in action here in Baton Rouge.
I had very little trouble assembling the Brewtree. Thank God for Teflon tape. Leak tested yesterday, fired her up this morning and brewed up a 7.5 gal batch of ESB. No problems with the system at all, she worked flawlessly. The mash tun held temp well, only dropping about 4° over the hour I mashed.
In the first pic you can see my Brewtree, along with my MiniBrew conical and oxygen tank. That's my brewsheet tacked to the fence.
In the third pic I hope you can see the calibrated sight glass on the HLT. I simply covered the glass with Scotch tape and poured gallon jugs of water into the HLT, marking off gallon increments with a Sharpie pen. I decided that one gallon increments were sufficient; it's easy to estimate quarts between the marks and I don't think any greater precision is necessary.
Everything was well worth the wait. Thanks for all your help. Feel free to publish the pics on your site, if you wish. I am truly a satisfied customer.
