Some notes on my experiences...
The HYDRO CHILLER worked like a charm...straight out of the kettle it cooled to 78 degrees in 2-3 minutes, which is actually about the temp of the municipal water supply here... that 50 degree day on which I brewed is an extreme rarity here in the subtropics. Can't ask for much better than that. Same with the wort chiller; it was really cool to just flip a couple of valves and run boiling wort straight through and have it hit the fermenter at 78. I'm used to waiting better than an hour using my old immersion chiller. By the way, I didn't bother with the grain bag. The lauter plate fit the mash tun perfectly so I really didn't see the point, since I have yet to have a stuck mash (dumb luck probably). I figured that by using whole hops the hopback would filter some excess trub, and sure enough my wort ran nice and clear into the fermenter. I brew mostly "real ales", but I'll probably use it if I ever brew up something with adjuncts.
