March Mfg Polysulfone Magnetic Drive Pump, withstands temperatures up to 250F. Unit has 1/2" male pipe threads on inlet and outlet ports, and comes equipped with a heavy duty 3 prong plug. We recommend you purchase a GFI plug at your local hardware store to insure ground fault protection during use. Below are some suggested applications:
For low profile systems, where counterflow chiller may be too low to accomodate gravity feeding to a fermentor. Pump may be installed on chiller outflow, to pump wort to any fermentor (even conicals with legs). You can easily sanitize the pump inline with the chillers usong boiling water followed by iodophor.
Transfer pump - use to transfer from a fermentor to a conditioning tank.
To sanitize odd shaped fermentors where filling them with solution is not an easy task. You can use only a few gallons of sanitzer, and recirculate sanitizer through your conical fermentor using a homemade spray ball (sprinkler head would work).
Bottling non-carbonated beverages (homebrewers wishing to bottle condition their beers could use a wine bottle filler to streamline the bottling process) and would need to pump the beer into the filler "trough".
