Custom lid fits all FERMENKEGS, and has a stainless pickup tube built in as well as co2 inlet fittings. When fermentation is complete, simply remove the rubber stopper & airlock, and replace with a sanitized TRANSFER WAND. The wand's pickup tube is several inches shorter than the bottom of your FERMENKEG which eliminates trub pickup so you only transfer CLEAR beer EVERY TIME.

Having a set-in stone pickup tube length ELIMINATES the headaches and guesswork that adjustable swivel dip tubes create. Since we know how much trub a 15 gallon batch creates, we make the TRANSFER WAND pickup clear that amount so you transfer 100% clear beer EVERY TIME. Your beer will be so clear, people will ask you if you filtered it!
TRANSFER WAND can be used for ALL of your transferring operations using all of your FERMENKEGS.

Clarity of beer will be dependent on the following factors:

  • FERMENKEG must not be disturbed/moved/bumped any time during fermentation or transfer. This allows gravity to be your friend, forcing all solids in the beer to settle out.

  • Use of Irish Moss in the boil kettle will eliminate proteins that cause chill haze.

  • Transfer must be to a keg of a lower pressure than the FERMENKEG, and is recommended the transfer to keg not be pressurized at all, while the FERMENKEG receives 5 psi of co2.

  • The keg receiving the beer should have it's co2 port vented so pressure doesn't build up and stop the flow of beer to the conditioning keg.

Warning: Lid must be FULLY SECURED by clamp. Lid must never be removed when keg is pressurized or serious injury, death, or property damage will occur.
