This is a COMPLETE chiller package to connect the supplied counterflow chiller to your brew kettle EASILY.
Here's what it comes with:
25' Quick Chiller (counterflow chiller with thermometer)
Bulkhead/Ball valve (only requires a 14/16" hole saw to install)
Hose barb and hose or compression fittings and hard line copper tube connection (selectable above and to the right)
This is the same great "Quick-Chill" counterflow chiller we offer but includes EVERYTHING you need to conenct it to your kettle. All you need to do is drill a 14/16" hole using a hole saw and hand drill to install! You will be chilling out in no time! Expect maximum cold break and chilling capability!
No more worries about contamination. Chilling your wort to yeast pitching temperature in a closed system is much more sanitary than using an immersion chiller, because you can send the wort through the chiller immediately after boiling, and the cool wort enters the sanitized fermentor ready for yeast pitching!
We offer a reduced rate on the bulkhead/valve combo to encourage brewers to use the counterflow chiller in their brewing systems.
We recommend ONLY using whole hops or hop plugs, and straining them out before running wort through the chiller (like we do in the BREWTREE systems with our hopbacks). Hop PELLETS disintegrate and turn into a sludge in your boil kettle, and can CLOG a counterflow chiller. If your chiller becomes clog from inadvertantly using pellets, you can easily unclog by running some solid copper wire through the chiller copper tubing and flushing with high pressure water.
