All screens are constructed from type 304 stainless steel with 3/32 perforated holes on 5/32 centers. They fit perfectly inside 15 gallon sankey kegs keeping all the grain on top where it belongs! Unlike others, ours are 14 3/4" Outside Diameter - which means they work in practically all kegs made, including Poly-Kegs! Now you can buy almost any used sankey keg and know this screen will work, guaranteed! If you would like a hole for a dip tube, please see our False Bottom (Hole) option.
Be wary of any cheaply made false bottoms made of lower gauge stainless screen - they are not able to support the weight of your mash and may collapse, causing a stuck mash. Our false bottoms are made of HEAVY DUTY 16 gauge perforated stainless sheet which can withstand the weight of the mash easily. We have noticed that some of our competitors are selling cheaply made "formed" screens that are made of screen material not unlike your window screen. It takes only common sense to realize that flimsy screens will not hold up against normal use. Our false bottoms are GUARANTEED to hold as much grain as you can fit into a 15 gallon keg, because we do not scimp on quality!
