Add a valve to your coleman cooler mash tun in less than 5 minutes!
This Kit is Specially Designed for Coleman Coolers and is slightly longer than our regular bulkhead/ball valve combo to accomodate the additional wall thickness of the cooler (7/8" deep). It also includes DUAL gaskets & Dual Washers to ensure a leak free seal.
This kit includes a 1/2" stainless bulkhead fitting, gaskets, 1/2" brass ball valve & hose barb.
All you need is a 7/8" holesaw, step drill, or dremel and cutoff disks.
The valve is full port 1/2" with teflon seats.
Thread on the inside is 1/2" FPT.
The gasket is Silicone and is rated for 450F
Picture shows brass valve...we use only brass valves because they are as effective and simply less expensive than stainless. We save our customers money whenever we can by only selling those items which improve the brewing experience.
Only fermented wort needs to be stored and transferred using stainless equipment. Unfermented wort can contact brass and copper, as both are inert materials.
Now with DUAL washers and DUAL O-rings!!! This provides 100% extra sealing power, guaranteeing you a leak free seal every time!
