This great counterpressure filler is designed with E-Z of use in mind! The liquid & CO2 Mini-Valves are mounted on the unit in a "T" configuration making it easier to hold and operate the unit. These valves have small "thumb" type actuators that offer little resistance when operating them, causing less fatigue and making the overall bottling experience more enjoyable.
On top of all the above great features, this baby has an automatic adjustable blowoff valve! That's right, when you open the CO2 valve to purge the air out of the bottle, this valve will blow at a set psi. You set the valve to blow at 1 psi less than the keg you are drawing from. This way, the bottle gets purged & pressurized at the same time. You then close the CO2 valve, open the liquid and as you fill the bottle the automatic valve will blow at just the right level to let the CO2 in the head of the bottle escape while still maintaining the pressure you set.
The result is fantastic! No foaming, increased CO2 retention, and ease of use. Our filler is guaranteed to work better than those other fillers because many counterpressure fillers do not have this automatic valve feature. On those less impressive models, you have to actually open a valve by hand when you are filling the bottle. It's almost like you need a third arm! That is no way to maintain the proper pressure and those cheaper fillers cause a loss of beer do to excessive foaming!
Technical Specs: This unit is made of all brass and stainless parts. Brass is fine for beer, because as you know almost all tap faucets at bars are actually brass that is plated on the exterior with chrome. We have used these fillers for years with excellent results. PLEASE, ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION FOR SAFETY, sometimes the bottling process shoots beer back at you when you remove the filler from the pressurized bottle.
