PROFESSIONAL grade tool used in most professional breweries to reinstall sankey valves. Why do you need a special tool? The reason is simple - you must compress the sealing O-Ring to allow the snap ring to fit back into the snap ring groove.
This VERY SPECIAL tool will allow you to EASILY reinstall your dip tube. This is extremely handy for those that want to use cheap junkyard kegs as fermentors, and would like to transfer using compressed co2.
TIP: Cut the dip tube short a few inches. When you reinstall and transfer beer to your "conditioning keg", it will be crystal clear!
This tool is designed for those individuals that work in the brewing industry, and understand completely how a keg works, what the component parts of a keg are, how to release the internal keg pressure safely, and how to remove the dip tube in a safe manner. If you are at all unsure of any of the above mentioned items, please do not attempt to dismantle a keg.
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE:
REMOVAL OF THE SANKEY "SPEAR" OR DIP TUBE MUST BE DONE BY TRAINED INDIVIDUALS. KEGS ARE UNDER HIGH PRESSURE, AND THAT PRESSURE MUST BE COMPLETELY RELEASED (SAFELY) BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO REMOVE THE SPEAR. IF YOU ATTEMPT TO REMOVE THE SPEAR WITHOUT RELEASING THE PRESSURE SAFELY FIRST, THE SPEAR COULD SHOOT OUT OF THE KEG AT HIGH VELOCITY AND MAME OR KILL YOU, ANOTHER PERSON OR ANIMAL, OR CAUSE PROPERTY DAMAGE.
