Protect yourself from fake email addresses/spoofs

PROTECT YOURSELF FROM FAKE EMAILS & ILLEGITIMATE FORUM
POSTINGS! It has come to our attention that someone has
been using a free email account to create havoc on brewing
forums in an attempt to damage our reputation. Please
protect yourself and do not make contact with anyone using
any email address other than those listed here. We
generally don't post on forums unless our name is being
slandered and we must defend our good name. Our goal is to
provide the highest quality brewing equipment at the lowest
prices, while sharing good will toward others in the
homebrewing industry. We will continue to work toward
making homebrewing a more enjoyable hobby for everyone.
Our VALID email addresses are:
sales@brewtree.com
customerservice@brewtree.com
listserver@brewtree.com
brewtree@hotmail.com (Our GLOBAL email address)
We will never send you an email titled "Dear customer"
We will always address you by your first and last name when
we communicate with you.
Beware of spoof emails that make the email address or links
look legitimate. You can check this by right hand clicking
on the email address or link, and choose properties. It
will then reveal the actual email address the email was
sent from.
This is basically the same problem companies like paypal
deal with on a daily basis. Protect yourself and don't be
fooled by forum postings or emails that are slanderous and
not in good taste, and check their email addresses to see
if they are legitimate.
