/i/Heat Shield/tn_untitled4.jpg A 6"x18" sheet of 16 guage weld steel is provided, and should be bent slightly by hand over the edge of a table into four quarters so it basically fit against the outside of the HLT/Boil Kettle.
/i/Heat Shield/tn_untitled2.jpg You should paint the bent sheet of steel using black high temperature spray paint. This must be done AFTER bending the sheet to prevent cracking of the paint.
/i/Heat Shield/tn_untitled.jpg The shield from the front - installed against the HLT. You will need to use one bolt to mount the heat shield.
/i/Heat Shield/tn_untitled1.jpg The shield from slightly underneath
/i/Heat Shield/tn_untitled3.jpg The shield from the back after being fastened by a 5/16" bolt drilled through the tree and shield. The bolt was cut and filed to prevent a sharp edge that could tear the mashtun jacket
