In keeping with the K.I.S.S. (Keep It simple stupid) mantra, we at BREWTREE have always designed the BREWTREE systems to be EASY to clean in place!

That's right, we follow the same concepts as professional BREWERIES....cleaning in place is much more efficient and simply more enjoyable than lugging around heavy kegs and hosing them off. The BREWTREE is designed to make BREWING & CLEANING simple and effortless! Below is a clean in place checklist for the BREWTREE:

  • Simply open and close valves to flush chillers clean

  • Open Bottom valve in system to drain Hot Liquor tank

  • Hose down grain in mashtun to cool.

  • Spin mashtun upside down to dump grains - then hose off with built in E-Z Pressure Wash option.

  • Open boil kettle drain and hose off hops on hopback to cool.

  • Remove hopback and majority of hops, hose down both mashtun false bottom and hopback.

  • Hose down boil kettle and flush trub down drain.

  • Cleaning of system is fully accomplished in about 5 minutes as outlined above.

Some people think it would be great to be able to dismount the kettles. In our efforts to please everyone, We offer the WINGNUT option for anyone who desires to remove their kettles.

Removing kettles defies all logic...anyone who would desire to remove the kettles needs only use the brewtree one time to understand why that is not necessary! Simply put, our focus is building the best brewing systems in the world. We spend alot of time to develop clean in place systems so you don't have to lift anything! We consider this a GREAT ADVANTAGE over other systems that require you to remove the kettles to clean. Remember, the BREWTREE is a COMPLETE HOME BREWERY, rather than pots like you would use to make malt extract beer on a stove top. We have taken into consideration ALL ASPECTS of the brewing process from start to finish in the design of the BREWTREE Home Brewery.

It is a good idea to look at what kind of equipment large scale professional breweries use. EVERYTHING they do is clean in place, because they simply cannot afford to be manually cleaning everything. CLEANING IN PLACE is the most UNIVERSALLY recognized and accepted method in the brewing industry, and we at BREWTREE are proud to bring you C.I.P. technology at your disposal to speed the brewing process.
